Our story began eight years ago, in a little seaside town: Vilanova, Barcelona. Amanda had just arrived from California. David was living in Vietnam, but just so happened to be visiting family in Barcelona at that time… and that day, he was in the right place at the right time.
What was meant to be a quick chat… turned into seven straight days of not wanting to be apart. Since then, we’ve shared life, laughter—and countless backpacks.
We’ve traveled through many countries, discovered unforgettable places, and learned that “home” doesn’t always have one fixed address.
After all those adventures, we chose to return to where it all began. Today, we live in Vilanova, closing the circle.
And now, we’re starting a new chapter.
One we want to celebrate with you—with joy, nature… and lots of love.
The wedding will take place the 13th of June 2026 in La Baronia at 4pm.
An ancient castle with backdrop of stunning architecture and countryside vistas.
The best way to move around Barcelona is by subway.
There is no Uber – Cabify or Taxi would be the alternative.
Renfe is the main train line when you travel to outside Barcelona city center.
From the airport to Barcelona:
Taxi or Cabify.
Bus 5,90€ (one way) or 10,20€ (both ways) and takes 35 min. Leaves every 5-10 minutes and stops in Plaza Cataluña and Plaza España
Subway 5,90€ (one way).
Meal times:
Lunch is between 13:00-15:00 and dinner between 20:00-22:00
However, as Barcelona is a touristic city, many places will serve food at any other times but it’s good to consider this in mind as many others will be closed at any other times.
Best offers: search for Menú del día (menu of the day) in many restaurants – normally you will have a two-course meal, with a drink and coffee/dessert with prices varying between 15€ – 25€ in total per person.
Siesta time:
Many shops will close around 16:00 and will open again around 18:00 (final closing times between 21:00-22:00)
Sundays expect many shops closed
Tipping is not expected but appreciated if you considered the service exceptional
Slow-tourism: enjoy terrazas and sun! Make time for sobremesa – lingering long after a meal for a post-dining conversation. This is a hallmark of sociable Spanish culture, to extend conversations well beyond mealtimes to be able to enjoy each other’s company for as long as possible, usually over drinks.
Keep an eye on your belongings: Be vigilant of professional pickpockets specially in the subway in Barcelona.
Dress appropriately when away from the beach: It is ilegal to walk topless or in a bikini outside the sand in Spain and police will approach
We’re just happy you’ll be there to celebrate with us. If you’d like to give a little something, it will be received with gratitude
